Step 1- Add the “Screen Recording” option in “Control Centre”

1. Open the Settings menu on the iPad and go to the Control Centre

Mirror Procreate from your iPad to your PC/ Mac using a screen mirroring app or Airplay. Add the mirrored procreate app as a source to the streaming software. Overlay your camera and chat onto your streaming software and start streaming on Twitch or YouTube.

Since a PC uses Miracast and the iPad uses Airplay, you will need a separate third-party application to mirror the display of your iPad to a PC.

Step 1- Install Zoom and create a meeting

1. Download Zoom to your Macbook and install the application.
2. Make sure your iPad and Macbook are connected to the same WiFi network
3. Login to the Zoom app and click on the “New Meeting” icon

Step 2- Share iPad screen using AirPlay

4. Click on the “Share Screen” icon at the bottom bar of the Zoom window
5. Click on “iPhone/iPad via AirPlay” on the screen share menu

6. Install the plugin to activate Airplay, in case it asks you to do that

7. Once you install the plugin, it will start the Airplay on your Macbook.
8. Ensure that your Macbook and iPad are connected to the same WiFi network. It will display the message to connect your iPad

Step 3- Connect the iPad to the screen mirroring option

9. Go to your iPad, Swipe down from the top right to reveal the “Control Centre” menu
10. Tap the Screen Mirroring icon from the Control Centre menu

11. Once you tap the Screen Mirroring icon, it will show Zoom’s airplay option in the list.
12. Select the name of the Zoom device as shown on your Macbook screen

13. Once you click on the right name, it will start the screen mirroring on your Macbook

Step 4- Setup Procreate on OBS and Stream to Twitch or Youtube

14. Open OBS/ Streamlabs, Go to the scene where you want to show your Procreate app
15. Create a new “Window Capture” source in the Source panel of the scene

16. Select the Zoom screen sharing window in the drop-down menu. It might be named differently, for me, it was named “[airhost] AirHost”

17. Once you select the zoom window, Your iPad would appear on the Scene
18. Set up your camera, overlays, etc. Connect your OBS to your Twitch or YouTube account and you are ready to stream to Twitch or YouTube

Step 1- Install a screen mirroring app to your PC

Install a screen mirroring app according to your liking. I have used a free screen mirroring app called Airdroid Cast. You can use any other app as well to cast to PC.

1. Go to the Airdroid cast website and download the windows version of Airdroid cast.
2. Install the Airdroid application to your PC.

3. Open the application to view the QR code to be used in Airdroid cast.

Step 2- Install the Airdroid cast app on the iPad

4. Open your iPad and install the Airdroid cast app from the Appstore

5. Open the Airdroid app
6. Scan the QR code or enter the number displayed shown in your PC

Step 3- Mirror iPad display to PC

7. Once you scan the PC QR code from your iPad, grant permission to cast the iPad display

8. It will establish the link from your iPad to your PC. Make sure you are connected to the same WiFi network
9. Voila, now your iPad screen would appear as a window on your PC
10. Open Procreate on your iPad to cast it on the PC

Step 4- Setup Procreate on OBS and Stream to Twitch or Youtube

11. Open OBS/ Streamlabs, Go to the scene where you want to show your Procreate app
12. Create a new “Window Capture” source in the Source panel of the scene

13. Select the [Airdroid Cast] application from the drop-down menu. If the name does not appear in the list, check the “Show Windows with empty names” option and try again

14. Once you select the [Airdroid Cast] window, Your iPad would appear on the scene
15. Set up your camera, overlays, etc. Connect your OBS to your Twitch or YouTube account and you are ready to stream to Twitch or YouTube
